About Vipergen: Vipergen is an innovative biotech company dedicated to small molecule drug discovery using DNA-encoded chemical libraries. We have successfully developed and commercialized two 2nd generation technology platforms – The YoctoReactor® for synthesizing DNA-encoded small-molecule libraries and Binder Trap Enrichment® (BTE) for screening these libraries. Additionally, we have pioneered a 3rd generation screening technology for screening in living cells, the cellular BTE®.

The role: We are currently looking for a highly skilled organic chemist who can join our dynamic team of molecular biologists and chemists. The successful candidate will contribute with hands-on work and theoretical knowledge in partnered projects and in the development of our screening technology. The successful candidate may also manage hit discovery projects in close collaboration with our partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continued development of DNA-encoded libraries and support the synthesis thereof.
  • Analysis of complex screening data including reporting screening results to external partners.

 

Qualifications:

  • A PhD with at least 2 years industrial experience (or equivalent experience) in medicinal/organic chemistry or a related field.
  • Solid knowledge of and hands-on experience with organic synthesis
  • Flair for analysis of complex datasets
  • Ability to design, execute, and analyse experiments independently.
  • Strong skills in problem solving, project management, and team collaboration.
  • Demonstrated excellent scientific communication skills in English, both oral and written.
  • Experience with the following is an advantage, but not a demand: Parallel synthesis, computational chemistry, the drug discovery process in general, bioconjugations, macromolecule synthesis (DNA or peptides/proteins), or use of chemical screening libraries.
